05/10/2009 WORCS Round 5 Milford, California

I finished 4th out of 27 Pro’s.  It was a beautiful day and perfect temperatures, mid 70’s.  I really love the Honeylake MX track I think it is one of the best off road races WORCS holds.  The course has everything from soft loam to rocks and square edge.  I love the waterfall section, it is pretty gnarly.

I had a nice start with a 3rd but when we hit the whoop section I swapped out and lost my momentum, two or three riders passed me.  I came around in 7th.  I was riding so tight and pumped up so I just had to wait for the arm pump to go down.  Then I was able to start charging again and work my way back up. 

This race is only about 40 minutes from my house so it was great to have a lot of my friends and family around the course cheering me on although, with it, is also the added pressure.  So all in all a pretty good race.  I have also moved up to 4th place in overall points in the series.

My next race is the Outdoor National at Glen Helen on May 23rd.  This will be my first one so I am pretty pumped about it.
